This feature enables you to empower your staff or community members to use their mobile phone to send messages from predefined groups in the Coretalk software. The system has the ability to receive an inward coming message from an isolated user, and if that user is authorised to send messages to a selected group, the system will automatically pass that message onto all members of the selected group.
Example – A school has sent students on an excursion and they are expected back by the parents at a particular time. Now imagine that the bus in which the students were travelling breaks down.
Normally the parents would not come to know that the bus is late until they reached the school to pick up their child. However in this case the school has the Remote SMS feature set up. Therefore the teacher uses her mobile phone to send a text message to the Coretalk SMS software which then relays the message to the entire group of parents related to that teachers Remote SMS code.
